In this picture thee are many african americans hanging out in front of a coffee shop in Selma, Alabama. It is outside, during the day in a urban setting. In this pictures i see many men sitting outside of the shop. they look about in their 30's. The part that catches my eye first is the composure of the coffee shop. The main structures in this picture are buisnesses because it is a street of business. Some questions that i would ask the photographer would be why they would want to take a picture of this cerain area. and also if this scene had any type of meaning to them.
This picture takes place in Eutaw, alabama in june of 1936. the stteing of the picture takes place in a field of corn during the day where the slaves were taught to dry them out and pick them for harvest. In this photograph there are no people there is just corn, and grass and more corn. Te first thing that catches my eye is the tallest piece of corn in the middle of the picture. In this picture it is obvious thathere is no form of budssiness in tyhat area because it is mainly rural, considering that it is a farm. The question that i would ask the author would be why he or she chose to take a picture of corn. And also why they didnt ask anybody to be in the picture.
